Getting back up

Life can be tough sometimes you gotta brush yourself off and get back up..remember it isn't how the horse got in the ditch, just get it out! After graduating college it sure was hard to find work nobody in my field was hiring all of the nonprofits were losing their funding. I moved to a new town yet again and tried to work on my bachelors...well we all see how that went down!
Here I am though back up and brushed off the dirt. Still living on my own as a single mother so I know I am alive and doing something right. I have been blessed with an amazing job with the best coworkers a woman could ask for and a supervisor that is an angel from heaven. My son is excelling in school even has a best friend as he puts it. I have recently been denied a home loan, but God has his reasons a few weeks later my car died and I now have a running car attached to a monthly payment.
Things are beginning to settle down again into a normal routine of life and I have been able to play games, watch full movies and wait for it wait for it.......READ BOOKS!! oh my love of books LOL! In the past two weeks I have read Like Dandelion Dust a must read for sure still debating on seeing the movie and The Oath another must read that will keep you on the edge of your seat! From one woman to the next you will for sure need tissues for both books! Of course I am reading it forward so both books have new hands with some coworkers who I hope love them as much as I did. Anticipating what my next read will be. Now to finish watching the new Veggie Tales with Uncle Si narrating it and curl up for time to sleep! stay tuned for more life facts, good reads and boring stuff about me!

Why is the wedding ring on the fourth finger?

There is a really good explanation for this..are you ready?..OK! The Chinese see the hand as a representation. The thumb stands for the parents, the pointer finger for the siblings, the third finger for you, the fourth finger as your partner and the pinkie as your children. To understand this you will need to follow the demonstration as I explain it to you.

Put your hands together like you are holding a globe and touch the tips of your fingers together. Take your middling fingers and roll them down where the backs of the fingers are touching and the rest are still tip to tip. The thumbs: you can move them separate them...see your parents are not meant to live with you forever because you are going to grow up and move out on your own. now put them back together.
The pointer fingers: you can move them separate them...see your siblings are not meant to live with you forever because you will go your separate ways and start your own little families. now put them back together.
The pinkies: you can move them separate them..see your children are not meant to live with you forever because they will grow up and move out on their own and start their own families. now put them back together.
The fourth finger: you cannot move them or separate them..because that is your partner your destiny. Hence the ring finger name for it.

I hope you enjoyed that and if you didnt' know that already then you learned something new for the day :) I hope you enjoy telling others about this and being able to show them first hand :)

92 Year Old Woman and Her 29yr Old Grandson Dance the Salsa!

When asked what do you think of when you hear an old woman is dancing with her grandson? Do you think of an elderly woman dancing to slow music in front of the fireplace, doing the hokey pokey in the front yard or doing the funky chicken in the kitchen? That is what I thought of when I asked that question; however my view has changed now. This video is of a 92 year old grandmother dancing the salsa on live tv with her 29 year old grandson. :) Watch this grandma get down and dirty hahahha I sure hope that I can still dance like this when I get old. Although I never danced the salsa and will not it is just not my cup of tea. I am more into cumbia and ranchero :) I hope she inspires you to find a joy in some kind of dancing to do for fun even if it is just around the house when nobody is watching..Dancing keeps the heart going and muscles working. :) Have fun!

old people with Billie Jean

When asked what old people do at dances what do you think of? Do you see old people dancing around bingo tables or old people sitting around in wheelchairs and with canes tapping their toes to some Frank Sinatra. I did until I saw this video!!! These old men did an amazing job and surely made us all scream in our Geriatrics class haha we never expected our prof. to bust this video out in class hahahha. I hope you enjoy and laugh so hard you tear up :) This is how we should spend life..laughing and enjoying every moment!

What old people do for fun!

Now I hope that you aren't a stereotype! :) If so then this video is about to show you that old people do have fun!! When asked what old people do for fun. The answer is usually knitting, cooking, sewing, gardening, tinkering, widdling, telling stories, etc. The answer is never running people off of the road or playing pranks..well here ya go. I hope that this clears some things up for you :) It sure did open my eyes :) hahaha have fun!

Don't mess with old people

Here we learn not to mess with old people. This guy learned his lesson and I hope that it teaches others too. I have to give Kudos to this woman haha she sure is an ox hahah. I started to feel bad for the guy, however in the end he did deserve what he got. hahaha. ---Don't rush in life take it second by second and if anything get out and help people instead of getting irate. Stop and breathe the air a little and laugh while you do it :)

Charlie bit my finger - again !

As many times as I have watched this video I cannot help but laugh and cry. A few months ago I was looking into buying a house through the USDA for low income families. They are wonderful people and nicest I have met so far that work with low income families. Well, my caseworkers name was Charlie and everytime I even thought about calling him or emailing him this video came to mind. One day on my way back from my final exams at school he called to tell me that I had been approved for a loan and he finally asked me why I always laughed when he talked to me. I came out with it and told him how his name made me think of this video and he said he had not seen it. I woke up the next morning with an email from him. He said he laughed so hard that he teared up and that this video made his day; from there on out he would watch this on a bad day. I hope this video makes your day better. It sure did mine :)
